Prescott Models Session {JKP Senior Models}

I am so excited to finally be sharing pics from our JKP Models destination session!! This session was one for the books and I am so glad we had a great weather and were able to do it before this nasty 120 degree weather took over!

I always look forward to our summer model session because it is really one of my most favorite shoots. We get to leave the heat, caravan somewhere out of the city, and it’s really the time that I get to know my girls. It’s also when they get to break out of their shell and get to know each other better. I love to hear their choice in music, their stories, the non-stop laughing, and it just brings back so many of my fun memories from that stage of life. It is one of the many things I love about my job and working with Seniors.

We started off the day right after lunch and I love to surprise my models with some of their favorite things. So of course that meant grabbing some of our favorite drinks and treats before we hit the road.

The ride was quick, and we even got to make some fun stops on the way!

Senior Models in Prescott_0025

This year I chose an Americana theme for a few different reasons. 1). I truly love our country, and feel so privileged to get to raise my kids here. 2). There is a lot of nonsense going on in the world right now, and I wanted a theme that represented Unity. All 6 of these girls are so different, and yet throughout the whole day all I heard was laughter and kindness. It makes my heart full. 3). Let’s be honest, it is pretty easy to find red, white, and blue everywhere you go in the summer, so that made things a lot easier!

To go along with the Americana theme, I chose Prescott for our session location. I love the small town feel, and I love the historic downtown area and court buildings. It was perfect to go with our theme.

We shot both in downtown, and then also down by the local lake. It was a cool and breezy 73 degrees, and the day couldn’t have gone better. I loved getting to photograph these lovely ladies in different settings, different outfits, and play around with their hair and makeup. I had my right hand gal Beauty Creations by Cristina with me who did all the hair and Make-up, and she did an amazing job!

I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from our session! Don’t put off booking your Senior or Family Session, the summer will be over before you know it and then my calendar will be filling up! And if you have ever wanted to book a destination session, I hope this is all the convincing you will need :)

Ericka Class of 2017 {Corona High School}

Such a bitter sweet post as I highlight my final Senior Model from 2017. Miss Ericka was so sweet and a bit shy when she first started with me a year ago. I have loved watch her grow in front of the camera, and become so much more confident. It is difficult NOT to smile around this girl because she just exudes joy.

When it was time for her Senior session, we knew we wanted a large part of it to be centered around swimming because Ericka has been swimming competitively since the age of 3! I love all the ideas she had for her session and we had so much fun with the pool. I love that her senior session encompasses all of who she is, and I am so excited for her future endeavors. Ericka will be graduating from Corona Del Sol High School in May, and then heading off to the University of Colorado in the Fall!

Congrats Ericka!

Thanks for being part of the JKP Model Team!!

Prom Styles! {Jasmyn Kate Photography}

If you have been following along over the past few months, you will see that my Senior Models get to do some pretty fun styled sessions. We have done splash pad sessions, gone to Sedona, had a fashion shoot at a local boutique, and now we get to add Prom Themed session to the list!

I collaborated with a local bridal and formal wear boutique in Scottsdale, and it meant an afternoon of playing dress up for the girls! It doesn’t get much better than that! My right hand gal, Beauty Creations by Cristina, did a magnificent job on creating 3 unique up do’s for the girls, and the dresses were all from Laurie’s Bridal and Formal.  I wanted to show off different looks and styles, because there were so many wonderful dresses to choose from! We also got to feature some pretty jewelry from  Claudia’s Custom Jewelry :)

I couldn’t be more pleased with the results, and if this doesn’t make you want to go dress shopping then I don’t know what will! Enjoy drooling over these beautiful models and dresses, and contact Laurie and Cristina to get yourself Prom ready!

Tori Class of 2017 {Corona High Senior}

Meet the lovely Tori – senior class of 2017! I had the joy of having Tori as one of my wonderful JKP senior models this year, so I had already had the privilege of photographing her several times.  She is a natural in front of the camera, and has a killer style! Of course, working in a clothing boutique for the last few years hasn’t hurt either 😉 I love that she chose a desert-y location for her senior session, and from the minute that we booked her session she had a vision for her wardrobe.

We started off Tori’s session at the popular Hole in the Rock in Tempe, and it certainly did not disappoint! I mean, look at the view! I love how the coral colors in her dress just pop in front of the rocks.

Tori’s casual outfit was perfect to her unique style. As an AZ native, her cowboy boots had great southwest flair, paired with gorgeous turquoise jewelry that were family heirlooms. I love how she can just give you a simple look and draw you in with her gorgeous blue eyes!

Tori will be graduating this Spring from Corona Del Sol High School, and will be attending ASU in the Fall! I am so excited to see the amazing things she will do!!
